The next house in Panda Valley is the No2 Giant Panda House where another three pandas live – this was the one house where I didn’t really see much of the pandas, and actually is the only one where I’m not completely sure which pandas I did see! There were no signs on the inside enclosures, and I saw a panda in here on both days but I think it was the same panda. Then one outside yard had signs for 2 adult pandas, but I only saw 1 in here (it seems unlikely that two pandas of that age would be together in yard), and the second outdoor yard I didn’t see any pandas in! But hey, at least I saw some pandas XD

Wu Yi 五一/Zhen Zhen 真真/Jun Jun 君君

So I definitely saw 2 of these 3 pandas, one of which was definitely Zhen Zhen 真真 or Jun Jun 君君- I just don’t know which, and I don’t know if the panda inside was one of them or Wu Yi 五一! I think Wu Yi might be the first panda below in the indoor space laying flat on his stomach. He is 18 years old, so a slightly older panda and was named based on his weight, which, at the time, was the lightest-born surviving cubs – he was only 51grams! This was a third of the weight of his twin brother, Zhen Da 珍大. There isn’t a lot of information about him on his sign, but I found online that he is a popular panda and is usually playful and active (I just didn’t see that on my visit), and is regarded as very handsome^ The other indoor pictures don’t look so much like a male panda, so I think those are either Zhen Zhen of Jun Jun, and then the other one is the one which is outside! Zhen Zhen and Jun Jun are both females who are 13 years old. Zhen Zhen is cute, calm and particularly round. I’m not sure either of the pandas I saw looked very round, so not sure I could identify her in the pictures. Jun Jun is more a shy panda who likes tucking herself away to sleep. She has a large head and a sharper nose – based on this, I think she perhaps isn’t the one inside eating and is the one in the last few pictures outside eating with her back to the viewing walkway! But I could be completely wrong, anyway, enjoy some more panda pictures XD
