After 2 nights at Shanghai Disneyland, it was time to head on towards the main purpose of my trip – to visit the pandas in Chengdu and the surrounding area! So let’s get started with the second part of my diary on this trip, getting myself from Shanghai to Ya’an, a trip I’ve never made before:
I briefly chatted what themed snacks I ate from the new Zootopia land at Shanghai Disneyland, now I’m ranking everything I ate during my 1.75 days of visiting! I also mentioned what I ate on my first and second trips and I don’t *think* I repeated anything apart from one item. Compared with how much I ate on those previous trips, I think I might have over-eaten on this trip because I really wanted to get loads in, oops! But so far, I’ve not really found any ‘bad’ food items at Shanghai Disneyland!
My third time visiting Shanghai Disneyland – and it’s still as magical as ever! The main difference on this visit was the brand new Zootopia themed land, which I’ve already posted about, but of course I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the rest of the now-familiar park too^ I had 1.75 days to visit on this trip, stayed on site so had early entry, was travelling along so I could use single-rider (only ended up using it on one ride), and paid for priority access so that I could get a front position to watch Illuminate! Had perfect weather on my first day, then it rained a bit on the second, but that didn’t stop a fantastic visit^
Welcome to the first and, so far, only Zootopia Land – located at Shanghai Disneyland! I watched as this was still being built in November 2019 and then still in September 2023 (when I’d hoped that maybe there would be a soft opening but was disappointed), and didn’t really think I’d see this land anytime soon. But things all aligned and I’m lucky enough to have worked out a schedule that I meant I could see it not that long after opening. The land opened on December 20th 2023 and I visited on the 10th and 11th of May 2024. Let’s take a look inside:
